Cretsinger Care Homes, Ltd. owns and operates licensed adult foster care homes in Battle Creek, MI. Founded by Bob and Nita Cretsinger and now owned by their daughter Renee Kelly and husband Patrick, Cretsinger Care Homes has had a strong positive presence in the community for more than 30 years, operating our business on the principles of honesty and integrity.
Our locations and services have varied over the years, changing with the times. We currently have locations to provide care for aged, developmentally disabled, mentally ill and medically fragile individuals. Please contact us for specifics about each home as our census is always changing.
Our goal is to help each individual be happy, healthy, and safe for as long as they may need us.
What people are saying about us:
"I have to tell you that another person and myself were at the Pennfield location yesterday...I continue to say that Cretsingers are the best. It was far better staffed than most homes you go into and every one of the staff was participating in care in some fashion. You are a model!"

She has developed a rapport with our many coordinating agencies, physicians, guardians and licensing entities. In April 2020, Tracy shifted roles to become a full time part of our executive team. She is actively involved with all of our homes and offers leadership support and compliance oversight. Tracy has extensive knowledge of all of our residents, policies, and operational processes. Tracy is the "mama" to our residents and a mentor to our staff. She is tremendously valued by everyone in our organization.
Kyria has been with Cretsinger Care Homes since 2015. She began as a direct care provider and soon moved into an Assistant Manager position. Kyria is energetic, compassionate and responsive to the needs of those around her. As an Assistant Manager she was always willing to take on new responsibilities and learn new things. Kyria filled the Medication Manager position for over 2 1/2 years, developing a strong working relationship with the pharmacies and setting up our electronic medical records. Ever eager to learn new skills, Kyria changed positions again in 2020 to become the Executive Director for Cretsinger Care Homes and managed all of Pennfield Premier Living for a year and a half before moving into a newly created position. Although her title stays the same, Kyria is learning the many areas of compliance and is our lead trainer for CPI aand CPR. She is also a resource for other aspects of our business. Kyria is a great asset to our management team and we are proud to have her representing us.
